He was born July 25, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Harley and Emma (Jagusch) Watkins. He married Carol Johnson on October 5, 1962 in Kansas City, MO. He honorably served in the US Air Force from 1956-1996, retiring as Chief Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America for 66 years, serving as Scoutmaster, Troop Committee Chairman and Treasurer of Troop 387. He loved all outdoor activities including hunting, fishing and camping.
Harlan is survived by his Wife: Carol J. Watkins; Two Sons, Robert V. (Dawn) Watkins, Lance J. Watkins; Daughter, Melanie E. (R. Kimo) Watkins; Three Grandchildren, Emily N. Watkins, Harley E. Watkins, Nash C. Watkins. He is preceded in death by his Parents and Half Brother.
Private Family Services will be held. Interment will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
