She was born June 9, 1934 in Kersey, Colorado, the daughter of Cervando and Lazara (Gallegos) Lomeli.
She was a graduate of Greeley High School.
On May 31, 1953, she married Manuel Ramirez.
Marcella was a founding member and very active at Our Lady of Visitation Parish.
She enjoyed bowling, bingo and trips to Black Hawk. Marcella loved to drive and stay active. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who loved her family very deeply. Marcella never missed any function for her children. She was very social and cared very deeply about her friendships, maintaining friendships as far back as high school. Marcella was also a good artist. She was also athletic in high school and enjoyed playing tennis and softball. Marcella also had an excellent memory and kept excellent records to aid the family in remembering information. She was an excellent cook and taught all of her sons how to cook. She will be dearly missed.
Marcella is survived by her husband of 62 years, Manuel Ramirez; three sons, Randy (Beverly) Ramirez, Ronald (Lisa) Ramirez and Robert (Rosemary) Ramirez; Eight Grandchildren, Andrew (Yolanda) Ramirez, Jessica (Timothy) Cogbill, Amanda (Casey) Overton, Jennifer Ramirez, Ryan (Meredith) Ramirez, Kayla Ramirez, Roman Ramirez, Mason Ramirez; Four Great-Grandchildren, Esai Ramirez, Isabella Ramirez, Talia Ramirez and Lucas Overton; Brother, Jess Lomeli and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by Father, Cervando Lomeli, Mother, Lazara Lomeli, Son, Russell Ramirez, Brother, Lee Lomeli, and two sisters, Grace Belo, and Toni Redfern.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society of Colorado, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society.
