George was born in Denver, Colorado on August 3, 1951. He graduated from Cherry Creek High School in 1969 and he continued his studies at the University of Colorado- Boulder where he graduated in 1973 with a degree in Real Estate. He worked in the family business, Pavlakis Realty, as a commercial real estate broker for many years. His fierce dedication to his family and his Greek heritage led him to experience many exciting things. It was through his love for his culture that he met his wife Holly at a Cretan convention in San Francisco. George and Holly shared 33 years together and raised two beautiful children, Emanuel, 26 and Eva, 20. He was a kind and loving man who always put the needs of others before himself.

He was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2011 and with the help of the bone marrow donated by his sister Maria was able to enjoy 5 more beautiful years with his friends and family. George was so strong with the help of his sister’s transplant, but God was ready for him to join his parents, brother and father-in-law in heaven. George will never be defined by his illness, but by the kindness of his heart, his wonderful sense of humor and his devotion to his Orthodox Christian faith. He will be very missed.

May his Memory be Eternal!
