He was born July 16, 1925 in Ivor, Virginia, the son of George and Matilda (Holoman) Brockman.
He was a graduate of Hayden High School Franklin, VA in 1942. He attended Michigan State University and graduated with his Masters Degree in 1950.
On June 22, 1952 he married Vera Murray in Hurlock, MD.
Gregory was a member of Gideons International. He was also very active at Ken Caryl Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and a member for over 30 years. He also completed a lot of missionary work with 3 trips to Brazil and across the United States at least once a year.
Gregory will be remembered for his ability to build and maintain relationships with people. He was a very faithful man and devoted to his church, friends and family.
Gregory is survived by Two Sons, Garnet E. Brockman and Greg M. Brockman; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Vera M. Brockman, Father, George Brockman, Mother, Matilda Brockman, Three sisters, Angeline, Rosa Lee, and Theresa and Two brothers, George Brockman, Jr., and Virgil Brockman.
