Sharon Lenore Pizer
1942 - 2016

Sharon Lenore Pizer, 74, of Wheat Ridge, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 9, 2016.

She was born March 2, 1942 in Pocatello, Idaho, the only daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Pierpont) Pizer. She was the 3rd child and is survived by her Brother, Clark Pizer; 2 Sister-In-Laws, Suzy & Anna Pizer, and her Nieces and Nephews.

Sharon graduated from Pocatello High School in 1960 and joined the Armed Forces of The United States shortly thereafter becoming a medic. She traveled aboard and was stationed at Landstuhl, city in Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. When she returned state side, she landed in Colorado and was stationed at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center. When she was honorably discharged in 1974, she decided to make Colorado her permanent residency. She later studied at Red Rock Community College taking management courses.

As a civilian, Sharon worked at Sandoz Global (formerly Geneva) for 30 years as a Quality Assurance Specialist. After retiring from Sandoz, she attended church services and volunteered at Metropolitan Community Church of the Rockies (MCCR). She was a role model in stewardship by partaking as an usher, participated as a reader, sang with the music ministry band (Back Pew), supported the food pantry by picking up food from the various Food Bank agencies, and was actively involved with the church remodel projects.

Sharon always had a good word for you—No matter who you were. Her ingenious humor would light up your day. She had a wonderful way of being humorous with each person that past her way. Her delivery of tongue-in-cheek was marvelous! She had the biggest contagious laugh. She had the kindest heart and spirit; you were instantly drawn to her vibrant smile.

Sharon's Life Celebration reception immediately following the memorial service: Metropolitan Community Church of the Rockies, 990 Clarkson Street, Denver, CO 80218. Handicap parking available in the rear. All others street parking.

In lieu of flowers, Sharon’s request is to make a memorial contribution for the MCCR Food Bank: http://www.mccrockies.org or Metropolitan Community Church of the Rockies, 990 Clarkson Street, Denver, CO 80218.
