Kenneth Lee Fernandez, 52 of Westminster, passed away Friday August 19, 2016.

Ken was born to Joe and Dolores Fernandez, December 12, 1963, in Denver CO. He graduated in 1982 from Iver C. Ranum High School where he then joined the Marine Corps to serve 1983 thru 1989. During this time, his oldest son Joseph was born in 1987. Ken had met his wife Cindy in California during July of 1989; they were married the following year. Ken and Cindy had just celebrated their 26th Wedding Anniversary. During this time their daughter Karisa was born in 1994 and their son Ryan was born in 1996. Kens life revolved around his children and family.

Ken started working for Xcel Energy (Public Service) in 1991. He just recently celebrated his 25th anniversary. He had many positions during his employment, but was very passionate about his current position as a Corrosion Specialist.

Ken was always concerned about others and their well being. He was kind hearted, funny and very thoughtful. He was very private about his health, as he didn't want people worrying about him. He touched the lives of many and would like everyone to continue enjoying life. His main goal was his children, spending time with family, and having great times with great friends.

Ken is survived by his wife: Cindy Fernandez of Westminster, CO; 3 children: Joseph (deLana) Fernandez of Provo, UT; Karisa Fernandez of Westminster, CO; Ryan Fernandez of Westminster, CO; Parents: Joe and Dolores Fernandez of Westminster CO; Brother Rodney (Debra) Fernandez of Montgomery, TX; Sister Marie (Brian) Smith of Aurora CO: as well as many Nieces and Nephews.
