Toni Ausman
1949 - 2017

Toni LaRae Ausman, 67, of Denver, passed away on Sunday evening January 8, 2017.

Daughter of the late Bert and LaVonne Ramsour, she was born on September 12, 1949 in Denver, CO. Toni and her sister Linda, and brother Tim lived in Tabernash, CO for about four years. The family moved back to Denver when Toni was in her teens. She then attended Rishel Junior High and went on to West High School where she graduated in 1966.

She was married to Jeff Ausman, the love of her life on March 1, 1981. Toni was a Bookkeeper at Columbine Bookkeeping, then she went on to work for her uncle at Federal Heating as a Bookkeeper. After that she was self-employed as the Bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Jeff’s Towing.

Toni had a passion for cooking, and she loved animals, but her real passion was her love for her family. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews. In the words of her daughter Jamie, she was 'feisty, funny and a real spitfire!’ She enjoyed doing art projects and word puzzles in her later years.

Toni is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Jeff Ausman and daughter Jamie (Jose') Molina. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Robert, Riley, Nick and Alicia and one great grandchild, Galvin. Other relatives include her sister Linda (Dennis) Rice, sister-in-law Loraine (George) Volentir; nieces and nephews (which she considered as her children and/or grandchildren as well), are Kelly Staffiero, Matthew (Keila) Staffiero, Maddie and Addie Staffiero, Zach Staffiero; Jeff (Amy) Larkin, Jacob and Andrew Larkin; Julie (Ben) Mamrot and Lauren Volentir and many extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her son, Robby Ausman, parents, Bert and LaVonne Ramsour, her brother Tim, her father and mother-in-law, Anthony(Tony) and Marjorie Ausman, brother-in-law’s, Dan, Mike, and Allen Ausman, nephew Manuel Staffiero Jr. and nephew Scott Landoll.

After her two year battle with cancer she passed peacefully into the night at her home. She was so loved by her family and many friends and they will never forget her infectious smile.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Denver Dumb Friends League.

Services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on Saturday January 21, 2017 @ 10:00 am, immediately followed by a reception to celebrate Toni’s life. The reception will be held at the American Legion Cummings Prather Post 193, 5110 Morrison Rd, Denver CO 80219.
