Thomas W. Thill , 73, of Lakewood, formerly of Dell Rapids, South Dakota, passed away January 26, 2017 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Lakewood, CO.

He was born January 11, 1944 in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, the son of Lawrence (originally from Ramsen, IA) and Regina (Sitzmann) Thill (originally from LaMars, IA).

He was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Dell Rapids.

Honorably served in the US Army in the Vietnam War. Tom retired from the US Post Office after 28 years of service. He stayed in touch with his coworkers from the Post Office, meeting monthly for breakfast. He was also a parishioner at St. Jude Catholic Church in Lakewood.

Tom was a Master Gardener who loved flower gardening. He traveled extensively, especially taking the Windjammer Cruises, scuba diving, and shell collecting. He also enjoyed collecting glassware, stamps, and antiques. He frequented garage sales every weekend to add to his collections. Tom was an avid square dancer. He loved spending time outdoors. He was an animal lover and enjoyed photography and playing cards. Above all, he loved his family and spending time with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Thomas is survived by Six Brothers and One Sister, William "Bill" (Sheryl) Thill, Gene (Jackie) Thill, Dwaine (Joan) Thill, Elaine (Dick J.) Klundt, Cletus "Clete" J (Dorothy "Dodie") Thill, Terrence "Terry" Thill and Darrell (Glenna) Thill; Thirty Nieces and Nephews, Lauana (Gary) Elder, Phillip Scholl, Clinton "Clint" (Lynn) Thill, Douglas "Doug" (Cindy) Thill, Racinda "Cindy" (Art) Osborne, Daniel "Dan" Thill, Brian (Paula) Thill, Bradley "Brad" Thill, Debbie (Allen) Schaefer, Diane (Dan) Steinberg, Kim (Robert) Schulze, Tim "TR" (Mary) Thill, Lynette (Vern) Erichson, Gina Thill, Marie Kent, Pamela Cyr, Kevin Ahl, Kathy (Michael) Lockwood, Leslie (Steve) Pierson, Timothy "Tim" (Leatha) Harding, Camille Knutson, Todd Thill, Tyanne (Jeremy) Bastian, Troy Thill, Michael "Mike" Thill, Laura Pownell, Michelle Thill, Stacey Thill, Stuart Thill, Travis Thill and Tyson Thill; and Many great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family.

He is preceded in death by Parents, Lawrence Peter and Regina Eva Thill; Two Sisters, Geraldine Scholl and Marion Thill and one brother-in-law, Marvin Scholl.
