Marvin C. Einertson

Marvin C. Einertson, 83, of Aurora, passed away March 19, 2017.
He was born September 7, 1933 in Limon, Colorado, the son of Clarence and Mary Einertson. He was a graduate of Elizabeth Union High School. On October 9, 1955 he married Carol Dewar, of Canon City, Colorado.
Marvin served 4 years in the US Navy aboard the USS Rochester and the USS Helena. After his discharge in 1956 he moved with Carol to Derby, Colorado and started their family.
Marvin spent 32 years working as a warehouseman for Western Electric and retired in 1988. After retirement he had a handful of part-time jobs to keep himself busy. Anyone who knew Marv knew that you couldn't keep him still for very long, there was always something to be accomplished. Whether it was keeping his yard in pristine condition, re-roofing his own house, building an addition to the home, or woodworking in his shop he was always busy. He loved to work with his hands and made countless toys and decorations in his wood shop, better known as "Grandpa's Factory."
Marvin loved the outdoors and passed his love of camping and fishing on to his children. Most any summer weekend the Einertson's could be found in the mountains of Colorado. Great memories were made sitting around the campfire or hiking through the woods.
Marvin and Carol spent their younger years Square Dancing with the Square Pegs. They made many life long friends and took several trips with this group to square dance conventions all over the western united states.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Carol Einertson; four children, Kent (Dorothy) Einertson, Kathy (Steven) Ruechel, Diann (Randy) Feakes, and Paula (Scott) Petrock; eight grandchildren, Kevin Henn, Amy (Seth) Loomer, Kayla (Joshua) McWorthy, Jason (Jerelyn) Ruechel, Caitlin Feakes, Sydney Feakes, Madison Petrock, and Paige Petrock; seven great-grandchildren, Shelby McWorthy, Caleb McWorthy, Colby McWorthy, Natalee Loomer, Haylee Loomer, Jackson Loomer, and Harper Ruechel. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Einertson, and siblings, Oliver Einertson, Arlene Norbye, Robert Einertson, Margaret Einertson, and William Einertson.
