Rosemary "Hazel" Marquez , 60, of Commerce City, passed away April 5, 2017.

She was born June 26, 1956 in Amalia, New Mexico, the daughter of Ray and Rose (Baca) Padilla.

On June 24, 1972, she married Richard Marquez.

Hazel enjoyed playing bingo and trips to Black Hawk. She also loved watching her Spanish Soap Operas (novelas) and The Young and The Restless. She enjoyed reading her Bible. Hazel loved her music and to dance. She was an excellent cook and every Saturday had a cleaning ritual because she enjoyed everything being clean. Hazel had a passion for Southwestern Art and jewelry and would collect and decorate her house with the artwork. She would bake her famous banana bread for her family. Hazel would gossip with her sisters and close friends for hours on the phone. Above all, she will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was everyone's rock and will be greatly missed.

Hazel is survived by her loving Husband of 44 years, Richard Marquez; Three Children, Judy A. (Brian Trani) Marquez- Trani, Richard B. (Denise Marquez) Marquez Jr. and Samantha A. Marquez; Five Grandchildren, Jordan D. Trani, Xavier A. Marquez, Adaleena R. Trani; Elias R. Marquez and Airabella C. Trani; three brothers, Arthur Padilla, Lee Padilla and Steve (Susie) Padilla; Five Sisters, Rebecca (the late Moe Chavez) Chavez, Marie Luna, Lori (the late Gilbert Pacheco) Pacheco, Myra Padilla and Roberta Ramirez and Many nieces, nephews, extended family and numerous friends.

She is preceded in death by Father, Ray Padilla; Mother, Rose Padilla and Two Brothers, Lawrence Padilla and James Padilla.
