Della A. Martinez , 76, of Commerce City, passed away April 24, 2017.

She was born August 5, 1940 in St. Johns, Arizona, the daughter of Joe and Soledad (Sanchez) Martinez.

Della was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Englewood where she was a Eucharistic Minister.

Della loved to pray and helped at church. She would help people especially when they were sick or needed help. She would take people to doctor's appointments or visit them in the hospital or home. She was a caregiver. Della was also the disciplinarian to her nieces and nephews. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and was a cherished godmother to many. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

Della is survived by her Sister, Mary Josie (Frank) Casados; Brother, Tony (Edna) Martinez; Brother-In-Law, Jake Martinez; Five Nephews, Frank (Georgina) Casados Jr., Leonard (Jan) Sandoval, Andreas Stars and J.T. Martinez; Seven Nieces, Tina Casados, Hope (Bert) Torres, Joann (Michael) Allen, Vera (Mondo) Montez, Mary (Louis) Stars, Stella Lucero and Lupe Banuelos; Two Nieces and goddaughters, Tory Casados and Annette Martinez; One nephew and godson, Rick Martinez; eight great-nephews, Greg (Regina) Casados, Buddy Padilla, Phillip Padilla, Frankie (Jessica) Casados, III, Emilio Casados, Xavier Casados, Anthony Casados and Angelo Casados; Two great-nieces and goddaughters, Giselle Padilla and Aliyah Prieto; four great-nieces, Madelynn Casados, Davina Prieto, Bella Padilla and Iyona Padilla; and Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by Father, Joe Able Martinez; Mother, Soledad Martinez and Four Sisters, Alice Gallegos, Dora Maestas, Eleanor Saiz and Joann Martinez.
