She graduated from Watford City, High School and seeking adventure moved to San Francisco with her sister Dorothy during WWII. With her secretarial skills Elaine became a secretary for a US Navy Admiral. Later she moved to Minneapolis and worked in a factory making ammunition towards the end of the war.

They were married 63 years until Larry’s passing 10/24/2016. Larry was transferred with his job (Western Electric) to Denver in the early 1960’s, with 3 children in tow. She would enjoy skiing with the kids and numerous friends every chance she got while Larry ski patrolled at Vail, CO. in the 60’s and 70’s. The both skied until their late seventies.

Elaine had numerous jobs to keep busy. Her favorites were Cherry Creek Schools, and a successful Real Estate career.

Upon retirement Elaine and Larry moved to Grand Junction where they made many new friends. Active in their church, the local Sons of Norway Chapter, and numerous activities that the City of Grand Junction offered.
