He was born March 10, 1937 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Amelia (Sena) Ireland.
On June 29, 1957, he married Rebecca Romero at St. Cajetan Catholic Church in Denver.
Lou was a member of the Golden Gloves Boxing Association when he was younger.
Louie enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars. He was an avid boxing fan. When he was younger, he boxed and coached. As he aged, he would watch fights on HBO. Louis loved his dogs and his great-grandchildren. The highlight of his day was to pick up his great-grandchildren from school.
Lou is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rebecca DeAragon; two daughters, Lorena (Christopher) Villegas and Cheryl (Dr. Fernando Tellez) DeAragon; three grandchildren, Adriana Herrera, Elisa Martinez, Krysta Villegas; Eight Great-Grandchildren, Aurelia Lujan, Aaliyah Lujan, Josiah Herrera, Isabell Olivas, Marcello Herrera, Breseis Herrera, Leila Olivas and Maceo Olivas; brother, Robert (Genevieve) DeAragon; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and two cherished dogs, Lily and Otis.
He is preceded in death by Mother, Amelia Ireland; Son, Dale DeAragon; three brothers, Ramon DeAragon, Orlando DeAragon and Carlos DeAragon and sister, Delores Young- DeAragon.
