Amadeo Angel-Justo Gallardo

Amadeo Angel-Justo Gallardo, 9, of Denver, passed away July 5, 2017.

He was born March 8, 2008 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Yvette Gallardo. He attended Cole Arts & Science Academy in Denver.

Amadeo had the best laugh and lived life to the fullest. He was a ball of energy. He didn't just walk he jumped, skipped, and hopped from place to place. He made classrooms feel joyful. Amadeo was an avid reader that enjoyed reading books with humor and graphic novels that appealed to his sense of adventure. He was a devoted friend to many, and was loyal and warm hearted to his friends and loved ones. Students expressed how much of a true friend Amadeo was saying things like, "Amadeo was there for me when I had no friends" or "He was always nice to me even when we were in trouble." Hearing the testimonies from our students goes to show the true impact of his life.

Amadeo was an outgoing soul that loved to be active by playing football, climbing on the playground, and competitively playing tether ball against teachers! He also attended the Cole Boys and Girls Club (BGC) faithfully and he once stated, "The BGC is my family." Amadeo's life on this earth was everything we value in our school community; perseverance, love, and helping others. We all remember the smile of his that could help anyone manage the struggles of the day and encourage them to keep pushing.

As Amadeo now looks down on us from heaven we will continue to cherish the moments we shared and things learned from his precious life. He will always be remembered as our spirited young boy and will forever remain in our hearts.

Amadeo is preceded in death by his mother, Yvette Marie Gallardo and grandfather, Michael Anthony Gallardo, Jr. He is survived by his grandmother, Lynda Zamarron-Cobos; aunts and uncles, Jessica and Jose Luis Macias (Godparents), Brandy Gallardo, Monique Gallegos, Ambrosia Delarosa, Barney Junior Savedra and Alyse Holder, David Lee Savedra and Andrea Martinez; great-grandparents, Phyllis M. and Justo Garcia, Manuela Cobos-Varela and Jaime Zamarron, and Darlene Vogt, and Michael Gallardo; and many great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
