Sandra Jean Sanderson Wright, 74, of Centennial, passed away July 12, 2017.

She was born September 23, 1942 in San Mateo, California, the daughter of Girvin and Ethel (Adcox) Sanderson. She was a graduate of McCallum High School in Austin, TX. She attended Baylor University. On September 12, 1964 she married George Wright, of Centennial, Colorado.

When she was 19 or 20 years old, she was a student at Baylor University and she read that her name, Sandra, stood for "helper of mankind." So she went to the local nursing school to become a nurse. She helped countless people in hospitals and nursing homes. In the 1990's she flew to Waco, Texas seven or eight times for two or three weeks at a time to help her parents who were in their 80's. Sandra will always be remembered for her kindness.

Sandra is survived by her husband, George Wright; three daughters, Sherry (Alex) Schott, Wendy (Dennis) Wright, and Lisa (Steve Schwandt) Wright; three grandchildren, Nathan Schott, Lauren Schott, and Bethany Wright. She is preceded in death by her parents, Girvin and Ethel Sanderson.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund at http://www.kidneyfund.org/.
