She was born December 30, 1930 in Kenova, West Virginia, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Ellen (Blankenship) Ross.
She was a graduate of Buffalo High School in West Virginia.
She married Louis Marck in 1967.
Helen was a member of the Cattletsburg Freewill Baptist Church in Catlettsburg, Kentucky.
Helen never met a stranger and would know someone's life history within 5 minutes of meeting them. She was very adventurous, lived in different states and countries and loved to travel. Helen loved to dance and won a dance contest for doing the twist. Above all, she enjoyed her entire family and adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen is survived by two daughters, Ruth E. (Jeffery) Simpson and Robin (Larry) Clinkscales; stepson, Jonathan Marck; five grandchildren, Joshua Simpson, Christopher (Heidi) Simpson, Dennis Manguso, Robin Manguso and Vanessa Marck; six great-grandchildren, Daniel Lyons, Matthew Simpson, Sophia Simpson, Ivy Simpson, Noah Hansen and Duncan Simpson; brother, Walter (Rosie) Ross; sister, Bess (Dan) Deemer and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Louis Marck; father, Lawrence Ross; mother, Mary Ellen Ross; four sisters, Mary Dekar, Ruby Lee Perez, Maxine Pruitt, and Aliene Jordan; 7 siblings who died in infancy. She was also preceded in death by her special friend, Pete Walters.
