In Memory Of
Rhea Ruby Johnson
1928 - 2017

Rhea R. Johnson "Ruby," 88, of Bennett, Colorado passed peacefully at her home in the presence of loving family and friends on Sunday, July 30, 2017.

Ruby was born on November 21, 1928 to Alma and Leota Rash in Sidney, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ival K. Johnson; her sister, Irene Rowen; her daughter, Jennine; son-in-law, John Huckstep; and her nephew, Clifford Paul Rowen.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Janelle Friess (David) and son, Ty Johnson (Julie). Her grandchildren, Tisha, Tonya, Todd, Kendall, Jessica and Cameron and niece, Jennifer Ann.

Ruby was always one to tell you how it was. She never shied away from a task or shirked a responsibility. She worked most of her adult life in the trucking industry and held administrative positions at various companies before officially retiring. She loved working crosswords, intricate puzzles and could be found at the top of the leader board when playing Scrabble. She was kind and caring. In the end, it was her poor body that failed her, but not her mind, she was still as sharp as a tack.

Ruby, you were named after a gem and a gem is what you were. Your brilliance will shine on in our memories forever. The happiness of heaven is spoken of as in a father's house. We gain comfort knowing you are in the room he has prepared.
