Dana Marie Sems, 57, of Aurora, passed away December 12, 2017.

She was born September 12, 1960 in Aurora, Colorado, the daughter of Anthony and Linda (Saunar) Kovach. She was a graduate of Gateway High School. She was an active participant of the community program she attended where she enjoyed several experiences with her friends. Her laugh and smile brought joy to whomever was around. Her rabbit, Sammie, was her best companion and the bond they shared was unbreakable. One of her most cherished roles was being Kylie's grandmother and most of all being the mother of her two children. As the holidays were approaching the anticipation of Christmas brought her so much joy and happiness.

Dana is survived by her mother, Linda Kovach; daughter, Sarah (Jason) Mittemiller; son, Derek (Anthony) Sems; granddaughter, Kylie Mittemiller; brother, Dan Kovach; two sisters, Debbie (Adam) Melton and Melinda (Doug) Henke; and four nephews, Raymond Parmalee, Matthew Quednau, Jacob Aubert and Douglas Henke Jr. She is preceded in death by her father, Anthony Kovach.
