He was born September 7, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Alvin and Edith (Burt) Keddington. He was a graduate of East High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended The University of Utah, University of Washington, and Auburn University. On May 4, 2006 he married Barbara Keddington, of Bennett, Colorado.
Neil is survived by his wife, Barbara Keddington; five children, Lt. Col. David Neil (Kristine) Keddington, Linda Keddington, PhD, Jason Norris, Gordon (Luann) Norris, and Jamie (Richard) Jordan; ten grandchildren, Rebecca (Chad) Sherwood, Stephanie (Steve) Olendorff, Melanie Keddington, Keira Norris, Haley Norris, Hannah Norris, Spencer Norris, RJ Jordan, Jamieson Jordan, and Liam Jordan; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Louise Ashton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Edith Keddington and six siblings.
