In Memory Of
Laurene V. Lusman
1925 - 2018

Laurene Virginia Lusman was born Nov. 29, 1925 in Albia, Iowa to Laura and Gene Cloyed. She played drums in the band in high school.
Laurene married Melvin Lusman on Oct. 20, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa. They were blessed with daughter, Janet, on July 13, 1947 followed by Edward on May 7, 1951 and Charles on Sept 3, 1953.
The family moved from Iowa to Colorado in 1962. She joined Westminster United Methodist Church shortly afterwards. She was a member for 55 years and loved every minute of it. She especially loved the friendships and fellowship of the other members. She ushered for nearly four decades and participated in the prayer shawl ministry.
She loved “her” mountains and enjoyed camping and hiking. Later she enjoyed participating in drag racing and watching NASCAR races on TV. Laurene knitted caps and booties for the Denver Indian Center and collected school supplies for Mesa Elementary.
She is survived by her three children, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

And don’t forget it’s Laurene, the combination of her parents Laura and Gene.
