He was born December 6, 1945 in Rainsville, New Mexico, the son Joe V. and Beatrice (Pineda) Trevino.
He was a graduate of Ft. Lupton High School.
Mike honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was discharged at the rank of Specialist 4. After his active duty service, he served time in the Army National Guard.
He retired after 32 years of employment at the Keebler factory.
Mike was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mike enjoyed working with his hands. He liked to fix things to make things better. Mike also enjoyed a cold beer. He had a great sense of humor and never knew a stranger. Mike was kind and very giving to everyone he met. He was beloved by all.
Mike is survived by son, Matthew R. Martinez; stepson, Michael D. Martinez; three brothers, Gregory L. (Glenda M.) Trevino, Frank T. Trevino and Louis J. Trevino; sister, Elaine P. Vigil; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, 2 goddaughters, and extended family and a host of friends.
He is preceded in death by Son, Mark Joseph Martinez; father, Joe V. Trevino and mother, Beatrice P. Trevino.
