Elaine Marie Russell, 88 of Arvada, Colorado, passed away on January 11, 2018.
She was born December 9, 1929 in Ogallala, Nebraska, the daughter of Robert and Florence (Crisman) Geisert. She was a graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School in Seward, Nebraska where she met and later married Don Russell of Denver, Colorado on November 7, 1948.
Elaine spent the majority of her life in service to the Lord and others working as a private office nurse for 40 years. She was an accomplished musician, playing a variety of instruments that included the piano, organ, violin and accordion. It was her love of music that led her service to our Lord as a faithful organist for Peace Lutheran Church and the Colorado Lutheran Home.
Elaine’s family and friends remember her for her extraordinary strength and devotion, an amazing wife, mother, caregiver and friend.
She is survived by:
Daughter - Victoria Marie Haggard (Robert M. Haggard-husband), and grandson Robert Donald Haggard and Daughter - Cristine Elaine Russell and granddaughter Sanger Anne Russell.
She is Predeceased by:
Navy Vetran/husband Donald Eugene Russell
