Ruby M Grubb

07/04/1927 - 01/16/2018

Passed from this world surrounded by her family and was reunited with loved ones in heaven, the morning of Jan 16, 2018.
Ruby was born to Viola and Frank Moore, July 4, 1927 in Halsey, Blaine County, NE. She graduated high School June 1944. After graduation she moved to Denver, Co where she attended Central Business College. She met her first husband, Charles “Bud” Regan. They had two children Kathy and Sherry. They moved around to several cities and later divorced. Ruby returned to Denver where she met her 2nd husband, Curtis Grubb who brought 3 children into the marriage, Candace, Debbie and Terry. She happily raised all the kids together. Ruby loved her family and friends more than anything. She never left her house that she wasn’t dressed up and ready to face whatever came her way. She loved to cook and bake, her homemade fudge was the best in the world!!
.
Ruby was diagnosed with melanoma cancer for the 2nd time, Feb 2017.
After giving treatment a try for 6 months she was informed the treatments weren’t working.
Refusing to accept what she was told, she set monthly goals for herself, and achieved them until she fell in August and was paralyzed on her left side. She stayed alert and never quit trying to get back on her feet but her body said otherwise as cancer slowly took over. She had a very strong will to live and she gave cancer her biggest fight of all until the end.
Sadly, she lost the battle.

Ruby survived by her Daughters, Delores (Kathy) Wood, (Gerald), Candace Wietelman (Fred), Debbie Leach (John), and son Terry Grubb. 6 grandchildren, Rocky and Bridgette Wood, Correna Montoya, Danny Valdillez, David and Tammy Padilla. 10 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, her brothers Don (Bertha) and Lyle (Marian) Brooks and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one daughter, Sherry Valdillez, 1 grandson Jason Knox, brothers Howard, Carlton, and Gilbert Moore
Anyone who met Ruby loved her to pieces. She had the most amazing personality and always had everyone laughing.
She will be dearly missed everyday by those who knew and loved her.
