In Memory Of
Charles R. Abad
1951 - 2018

Charles Ralph Abad was born on January 9, 1951. He went home to be with Jesus on March 1, 2018. Charles was 67 years old. He was born and raised in Denver, CO. He was born to father George Abad and mother Mary Gonzales.

He is survived by his wife Cynthia, three daughters Sunshine, Denice and Eileen, his six grandchildren, his brother George, and three sisters Susan, Monica, and Alma.

Charles attended Manuel High School where he was top of his class, graduated with honors and received two full scholarships. He went on to major in mathematics at CU Boulder. He then pursued a career as a Journeyman Electrician with the IBEW. Ten years later Charles met his wife Cynthia at a New Year’s Eve event they attended at Victory Chapel. For all of us who knew Charles, we know he was a man who had a difficult time waiting for anything, which led to him purposing to Cynthia the first night he met her. They were married the following month on February 28th 1982, together they were blessed with three beautiful daughters, and became a part of the ministry team at Victory Chapel in Denver Co, acting as drama team directors and also bible study leaders under Pastor Norman Moon. Charles soon developed into more than a bible study leader he became a teacher for the new converts group and a mentor to many within the ministry.

Charles and Cynthia were sent out to pioneer a church in Kansas City, MO in 1985. Charles was a radical believer in Christ. He was on fire for Jesus and wanted everyone to know how God changed his life and could do the same for them.

The family then returned to Denver. Charles pursued his education and obtained a Master’s degree. In 2003, Charles and Cynthia started an electrical contracting company called Chaz Electric Inc. Charles poured everything into this business. He built this company on his back with blood, sweat and tears. The business was a success and is thriving today. Charles was proud of his accomplishments and so are his wife and family.
Charles and Cynthia were called on another journey in Ministry. This time they were with Pastor Leon Emerson of Now Faith Christian Center. They teamed up and started a Spanish bible study which led to a body of believers being birthed. Charles and Cynthia called the church Fe Ahora (Now Faith). Charles was a man of God who had great faith. He saw God’s plan and vision for his life and he had the faith to believe it over and over again. Birthing churches and reaching people that were unlovable, the under dogs, the people no one wanted anymore was where God called Charles to minister.

Last year, Charles and Cynthia purchased their home, it was built from the ground up especially designed for the Abad family. Charles was proud of everything he worked so hard for. His family loves him and appreciates him dearly. We will never forget how hard he worked for us.

Charles was a visionary, an entrepreneur, a pioneer, a leader, a provider and a strong man of God. He raised his family on biblical principals and always pursued Christ. He never gave up, he was stubborn and fought death until the end.
