Jane Foster Barnard, 55, of Golden, passed away March 8, 2018.
She was born August 3, 1962 in Livonia, Michigan, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Gunia) Barnard.
She was a graduate of Stevenson-Livonia High School. She received her Bachelors degree from Eastern Michigan University and her Pharmacy Doctorate from the University of Georgia.
On July 15, 1995, she married Mark Skidmore.
Jane was a member of American Pharmacy Association and various political organizations.
Jane had many interests. She enjoyed hiking, exercising, crafting, pottery, painting, soap making, playing mahjong, genealogy and Halloween parties but she especially enjoyed traveling. She was fortunate enough to see many places all over the world, most of them with her mother as her travel companion. She has a special place in her heart for Scotland. She visited there many times. Jane also enjoyed spending time in her garden and was known to pet bees. She also enjoyed movies and the theatre. She was able to see "Cats" on Broadway as well as many other productions in many cities across the U.S. Jane was a voracious reader and thoroughly enjoyed her book clubs. Jane had a special place in her heart for the homeless and under-served and often donated to charities helping these people. She absolutely loved pets, cats especially.
Jane is survived by her Loving Husband of 22 years, Mark Skidmore; Two Sisters, Cheryl Barnard, Cynthia (James) Eiring; Brother, Frank (Amy) Barnard; Sister-In-Law, Shauncie Skidmore; Two Brothers-In-Law, Chad (Kristin) Skimore and Bart (Kristy) Skidmore; Numerous nephews and nieces, all of whom loved her dearly; two cherished cats, Sadie Mae and Scooter and many, many lifelong dear friends.
She is preceded in death by Father, Frank Barnard, Sr. and Mother, Dorothy Barnard.
