Shirley Colleen Nielsen, 89, of Aurora, passed away March 22, 2018.

She was born January 28, 1929 in Morrill, Nebraska, the daughter of Benjamin and Bertha (Warner) Fullerton. She was a graduate of Morrill High School in Nebraska. On October 22, 1950 she married Gene Nielsen, of Haig, Nebraska.

Shirley is survived by her children, Philip Nielsen, Bryan (Lee Ann) Nielsen, Phyllis Nielsen, and Barbara Nielsen; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Fullerton. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Bertha Fullerton; and sister, Jacqueline Rupp.
