1971 - 2018

Lanae Marie Schrock, 47, of Aurora, Colorado went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 2, 2018 after a two year battle with cancer.

She was born in Normal, Illinois to J. Byron and Mary (Rinkenberger) Schrock. She is a graduate of Eureka High School and Illinois State University with a BA in Education. She taught Kindergarten in Atlanta, Illinois before relocating to the Denver area in 2001. She taught lower elementary age students for 17 years in the Cherry Creek school district while also earning her Master’s degree. She loved her students and had a special gift for helping each of them succeed.

Lanae is survived by her treasured daughter, Laila Grace Schrock, her parents and four siblings along with their families: Todd Schrock, Troy Schrock, Trent Schrock and Larissa Kuykendall. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting any donations in her memory be made for the benefit of her daughter’s education.

A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 5 pm – 7 pm on Sunday, June 10th. A second viewing will take place on Monday, June 11th at 10 a.m. at Colorado Community Church followed by a service at 11 a.m. A burial service will be held at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Cemetery. A light lunch reception will be held at the church following the graveside service. There will also be a Memorial gathering in central Illinois sometime later in June or early July.
