In Memory Of
Carol Ann Begley
1947 - 2018
Carol worked as a Certified Nurse’s Aide and then for many years as a visiting nurse. She was honored in her career as Visiting Nurse of the Year. She also volunteered for many years with the Ellington Volunteer Ambulance as a volunteer EMT. She was known for helping whenever she could, including saving the life of a choking woman in a restaurant when she was out to eat one day.
Carol followed the Catholic faith and believed strongly in helping others and giving to others as a way to practice her faith. She loved to play with her grandchildren, socialize with friends, spend time with family, shop, go antiquing, write, and read. Her favorite places to visit were the beaches of Rhode Island and New Jersey which were favorites of her youth.
She was full of life, energetic, compassionate, would do anything for anyone, and helped anyone who needed it. With a silly and playful sense of humor, she loved to dance and sing. She made people feel loved and special and filled a room with her presence and joy.
Carol is predeceased by her mother and father, Dorilla and Lincoln Taylor as well as her siblings Lincoln Taylor Jr, Ruth Torza, and Robert Taylor. Carol is survived by her loving husband John Joseph Begley of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She is also survived by her son and daughter in law, Justin and Jennifer Begley of Wheat Ridge, CO, her daughter and son in law, Mindy and Andy Morgan of Smithsburg, MD, her grandchildren- Cade, Jocelyn, and Miles Begley of Wheat Ridge CO, and Avery, Angela, and Aidan Morgan of Smithsburg, MD. She also leaves behind her brothers in law, James Begley of MA, and Ackey Torza of CT, her nephews, James Begley Jr, Wayne Taylor and Daniel Taylor of MA, David Torza of CT, as well as her nieces Maria Torza, Beverly Scavetta, and Joan Cyr of CT, and Patty Torza of CA. Carol also leaves a vast number of cousins, relatives, and dear friends who meant the world to her and who will deeply miss her loving presence.
