Theresa Marie Pracht, 80, became an angel, Friday July 20, 2018 surrounded by her family. Theresa was born to Willie and Alexine Collette (both deceased), September 3, 1937, in Aurora, Kansas. She grew up on a farm near Aurora, Kansas with 4 brothers Alfred, Ronald, Leland, Lorraine (all deceased) and 1 sister, Geneva Thomas (still living in Georgia). She attended Catholic School graduating in 1955, then attended Marymount College where she studied nursing and received a bachelor’s degree in 1958.

She married Lawrence E. Pracht on September 1, 1958 and moved to Golden, Colorado, where they lived for 34 years and later settled in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Upon retiring she and Larry traveled around the world and all across the U.S., making many lasting friendships along the way.

Theresa is survived by her 6 children, Sandy (Bryan) Overhultz, Kathy (Russell) Engstrom, Randy (Denice) Pracht, Michelle (Marvin) Disney, Bonnie (Karl) Baines, Robert (Kelly) Pracht along with her 11 grandchildren; Jason, Jennifer, Samantha, Marcus, Aaron, Jeffrey, Larry, Chelsea, Eric, Holly, and Josh, and 10 great-grandchildren; Nikolai, Lilliana, Danielle, Isaiah, Noah, Robby, Roman, Hazel, Charlotte, and Cecilia with one more on the way.

We will be celebrating her life with a viewing at Newcomer Funeral Home (901 S Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226) Wednesday July 25, 2018 from 5pm to 7pm with a Rosary to follow. Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (969 Ulysses St, Golden, CO 80401) on Thursday July 26, 2018 at 10 am followed by burial at Golden Cemetery, and followed by a reception at St Joseph’s Reception Hall.
