In Loving Memory of Rachel Legge

Rachel Legge was born and raised in the rural town of Spencer, North Carolina, and later moved to and was married to our father Robert Legge in Miami, Florida. Our family relocated to the Denver area in the early 1960s and then to Aurora, where she raised her family and worked as a paraprofessional and computer lab specialist in the Aurora Public Schools for 30 years until retirement.

Rachel was a beautiful, gentle person with a radiant smile, a graceful personality, and a droll, quirky sense of humor. Her greatest love was her home and family. She took loving care and great pride in making her home a sanctuary, and most especially loved Christmas, sparing nothing to create a warm atmosphere reflecting her sense of joy and renewal each Christmas season.

It has been said of some that we may remember not so much what they have said or done, but rather how they have made us feel. It is certain that everyone Rachel touched has felt her warmth, gentleness, sense of graciousness, and love.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to her companion of many years, Mr. Dennis Jenkins, for his loving care of our mother to the end of her life.

Rachel is survived by sons Robert and James, daughters Dorice and Cathy, grandchildren Rob, Lindsey, Brad, and Darren, and great-grandchildren Nora and Jason.

Mom, you are forever in our hearts, Your Children.
