Susan Kay Edwards, of Aurora, Colorado passed away at her home on May 8, 2015. She was born on October 14, 1950 to Robert and Marilyn Cunningham. She grew up with 2 sisters and 2 brothers in Driscoll, ND.
She married James Edwards on August 22, 1970. Jim and Susan had three daughters, Korina Broerman (St. Cloud, MN), Jennifer Wilson (Denver, CO) and Jackie Riley (Denver, CO).
Although she spent most of her life in poor health, Susan lived to laugh and love! She spent her good days thoroughly enjoying the company and accomplishments of her family and friends. Susan was blessed with an amazing sense of humor and adventure. Her laugh was infectiously enjoyed by many and will be missed by all who knew her. She loved to drive and considered it an honor to teach her children, many nieces, nephews and most of her grandchildren “how to”.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Edwards; daughters, Jenny, Jackie and Kori; sons-in-law Kenny Wilson and Art Broerman; grandsons Alex Sannes, Abe Rolfzson, Spencer Sannes, Jacob Sannes, James Riley, Brody Sannes and Elijah Riley; granddaughters Ariel Fruth, Ashley Rolfzsen and Sophia Riley; great grandson Nicholas; brothers and their families Greg & Keney and George & Joni; sisters and families Stephanie & Kelly and Judy; lifelong best friend, Doris and mother Marilyn. She was preceded in death by grandparents; father Robert; several aunts, uncles and beloved brother-in-law Ron.
In honoring Susan’s wishes, an intimate family service will be held on June 5, 2015 at Newcomer East Metro Chapel, 190 Potomac St., Aurora, CO 80011 at 2 p.m. Followed by a family reception after the memorial service at the Edwards Family home at 7065 S. Shawnee Street, Aurora, CO 80016.
