Earl F. DeMuesy
1937 - 2015

After a long and valiant fight against liver cancer, Earl F. DeMuesy, 78, succumbed at home on October 6, 2015.

He was born August 16, 1937 in Canton, Ohio, the son of Homer and Dorene (Lutz) DeMuesy. He graduated from St. Paul's Jr. High School in North Canton, Ohio in 1951 and then from Jackson High School in Jackson Township, Ohio in 1955.

Earl left home after graduation to join the US Marine Corps. While in the Marine Corps he met his beautiful wife of over 50 years, JoAnn Kesler, a fellow Marine. They were married May 2, 1957.

Following his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, Earl and his family moved to Ohio where he worked for Halters Pretzels. Earl later moved to California, where he worked for Rold-Gold. He moved to Colorado and later Utah, where he worked for Frito-Lay and Clover Club. While with Clover Club, Earl won many awards for his business acumen and leadership and made many lifelong friends including Joe Kment. Earl then moved to the Midwest. Feeling the calling of the mountains of Colorado, Earl returned to Colorado where he decided to start his own business, TLC Food, manufacturing chicharrones. When Earl turned 60, he decided to change careers. He went to truck driving school and began driving for NAPA and other businesses, finally retiring at the age of 72.

Earl loved to go camping. He was an avid hunter, going Big Game Hunting every year and making the trip an extended family affair. Earl was passionate about the mountains. He enjoyed trips to Black Hawk. Above all, Earl enjoyed spending time with his family, especially when he could bring them along in his adventures. He was especially proud of the fact that John was born on the East Coast and Christine was born on the West Coast.

Earl also enjoyed spending time with Dottie, who was a wonderful addition to his life for the last 5 years. She selflessly helped with JoAnn's care until her passing and also helped Earl live a quality life as the cancer continued to worsen. Together, they enjoyed to travel, even when Murphy's Law always traveled with them. Thank you, Dottie, for all of your love and care for our parents. You are a wonderful addition to our family!

Earl is survived by four children, John V. DeMuesy; Diane L. DeMuesy; Paul A. (Julie) DeMuesy and Christine M. O'Dell; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; Sister, Cheryl (Larry) Herdlick and Brother, Jerry Lee DeMuesy.

He is preceded in death by Wife, JoAnn DeMuesy, Father, Homer N. DeMuesy and Mother, Dorene DeMuesy.
