Brigitte Renate Waltraud Barth, 68, of Aurora Colorado, peacefully passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, November 21st.

She was born to the late Erika Haslauer June 26th, 1947 in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany. She was the eldest of 7 sisters: the late Monika Stupp, Anne Fuchs, Elvira Vielhauer, Heike Freisleben, Karen Röstel, Silke Friedrich. In 1969, she met a young American soldier and her future husband, Michael Barth, at a swimming pool in Heilbronn, Germany. She was soon after married, during December of 1970. In April of 1971, Brigitte and Michael traveled to Colorado where they put down roots and started a family.

Brigitte is survived by her husband Michael Barth and her two sons and their wives: Michael Barth and Elizabeth Barth of Gilbert, AZ; David Barth and Heather Barth of Draper, UT. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Edward Barth, Audrey Barth, and Kerstin Barth. She is preceded in death by her mother Erika Haslauer and sister Monika Stupp.

A memorial service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home (901 South Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80226) from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday, December 4th. A procession to Fort Logan National Cemetery will occur following the service. The interment will occur at a committal shelter at Ft. Logan and be about 20 minutes long. The actual grave site will not be available for viewing until after 4 PM.
