Ellen M. Koser
1931 - 2015

Ellen M. Koser, 84, of Evergreen, died peacefully at home on November 22, 2015. Her health had declined after a fall and surgery in March.

Surviving family includes brother, James Dougherty, son Karl, daughter Barbara of Evergreen, daughter Karen Padilla and granddaughter Brittiana of Santa Fe.

Ellen Mary was born and raised in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. She and husband Ned left the state in the 1950's, selling radio advertising throughout the West. Finally settling in the foothills, she described the move as a "great adventure." She was involved in Community Bible Study, Mothers of Preschoolers and water aerobics.

A resolute Christian, she and her family worshipped at Christ the King Catholic Church of Evergreen, Congregation Roeh Israel and First Baptist Church of Idaho Springs in the course of time. A good listener, Ellen touched many with kindness, patience and prayers. She enjoyed travel, reading (often clipping articles "for later") and a good laugh.

Memorial Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to Angel Tree Project, 877-478-0100 or to Mount Evans Hospice, 303-674-6400.
