Benjamin H. Elliott, 65, of Denver, passed away February 3, 2016.

He was born April 28, 1950 in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Benjamin and Laura (Hanna) Elliott. He was a graduate of Dodge City High School. He earned a degree from Dodge City Community College.

In 2011, Benny retired following 30 years of employment with the state of Colorado. He received many awards for excellent service as a disability eligibility examiner. He volunteered with the Denver Rescue Mission for years and was dedicated to helping others in need. He enjoyed traveling the world and quiet walks along High Line Canal.

Benny is survived by his brother, Steven L. Elliott; two sisters, Susan D. (Robert) Walker and Deborah J. Pipkin; seven nieces, Shelby Elliott, Denise (Rayford) Johnson, Marla (Soner) Celik, Stephanie (Tyrone) Cade, Talynn Henderson, Tory Elliott and Stacey Elliott; three nephews, Benjamin Elliott, Scott Elliott, and Derrick Elliott; and numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin & Laura Elliott; brothers, Terry L. Elliott, Stanley B. Elliott, Mark A. Elliott and nephew, Todd Elliott Walker.
