1953 - 2014
Richard Houston passed away on October 26, 2014 at his home in Golden, Colorado.
He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on September 5, 1953 to Harold and Martha Houston, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his sisters Julia Meyers, Gayle Houston, and Jo Hays, three nieces, four great-nieces, and four great-nephews. He is also survived by his former wife, Kathleen Houston.
A fun-loving, brilliant, somewhat speed-crazed athletic type, Rick was one of the most gentle men that ever lived. He was genuinely sweet and compassionate, and fun to be with. He was a brilliant chemical engineer whose career took him around the world. He will be missed by all those who love him.
