James Emery Becker, 62, of Lakewood, passed away November 23, 2014.

He was born February 27, 1952 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Emery and Patricia (Buss) Becker. He was a graduate of Washington High School in Milwaukee. He graduated from Carol College with a law degree. Later he received a degree as a computer program specialist. On September 1, 2007 he married Mary Ann Tanner, of Lakewood, Colorado.

James is survived by his wife, Mary Ann. He is also survived by his mother, Pat Becker; sister, Jane (Rick) Morrison; nephew, Andrew Morrison; niece, Charlotte Abt; great nieces, Leah and Zoey Abt; and step-daughter, Ingrid Gail Wright. He is preceded in death by his father, Emery D. Becker.

In high school, he was very active in sports. He was on the wrestling team and captain of the football team. He played trombone in the high school marching band, the Milwaukee Continentals. One of the highlights of playing in the band was traveling to Europe, especially Germany. He loved watching the Green Bay Packers and eating Philly cheese steak sandwiches with his dad.

Jim always enjoyed fishing in Wisconsin with his dad. He liked eating catfish. He appreciated good Christian music. He liked to travel. Jim was a very intelligent and computer savvy man who enjoyed using his skills to help others with computer problems. He also loved to communicate with family and friends via the internet. Jim was very compassionate. He was very gentle, very giving and kind. He loved his family & friends.

He is greatly missed but we rejoice that he is secure in Christ!
