She was born June 21, 1936 in Selma, Alabama, the daughter of Myer and Mattie (Bush) Brown. She was a member of the Board of Deaconess, Booster Club, Sunday School Teacher, Past Women's Day Co-Chair, and Past Member of the Choir for New Hope Baptist Church

She is survived by Two Sons, Walter J. (Christina) Greene, Jr., Lawrence J. (Ardra) Greene, Sr.; Husband of 22 years, Walter J. Greene, Sr.; Three Granddaughters, Shannon T. (Shawn) Greene, Jazmyne A. Dickens, Erin S. (Deion) Greene-Romero; Two Grandsons, Lawrence J. Greene, Jr., Walter J. Greene III; Three Great-Granddaughters, Camille Y. Greene-Liptow, Gisselle O. Dickens, Lillian E. Romero; Two Great-Grandsons, Vincenzo C. Greene-Liptow, Camden A. Romero; Sister, Marian Cheavers; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Granddaughter, Iris C. Greene, 3 Sisters, Mary White, Willa Leo Cavers, Mattie Belle Smith, 1 Brother, Frank Myer Brown.
