Rebecca Ann Schlitter, 65, of Aurora, passed away January 24, 2017.
She was born May 18, 1951 in Waverly, Iowa, the daughter of Mervin and Nadine (Benning) Wedeking. She was a graduate of Clarksville High School. On July 23, 1988 she married William Schlitter, of Aurora, Colorado.
Family was priceless to Becky; she adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. They were an endless source of pride. Her passions were quilting and cross stitching and she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading and games she could play with the family. She loved capturing family events in photos and she would never miss an episode of her favorite TV series, "The Bachelor" and "Dancing with the Stars."
Rebecca is survived by her husband, Bill Schlitter; three sons, Jeremy (Cheryl) McBeain, Joseph (Angel) McBeain, and Joshua (Angela) McBeain; two step-daughters, Kirsten (Mike) Bortz, and Suzanne Robertson; step-son, William D. (Julie) Schlitter; twelve grandchildren, Amanda McBeain, Kelsey McBeain, Darryl (Kayla) McBeain, Kayla McBeain, Kelby McBeain, Kirsten McBeain, Alexis McBeain, Zachary McBeain, Andrew Bosher, Schanece Bortz, Mason Schlitter, and Savana Schlitter; great-grandchild, Kinsley McBeain; five sisters, Susan (Ron) Negan, Patricia (Lloyd) Calease, Carol (Francis) Edeker, Terri (Jeff) Leerhoff, and Paula (Walt) Schmitt; six brothers, Stanley (Sue) Wedeking, Kurt (Melanie) Wedeking, Tim Wedeking, Drew (Jodi) Wedeking, Jeff Wedeking, and Eric (Cindy) Wedeking; brother-in-law, James Schlitter; step-mother-in-law, Marcy Schlitter; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mervin and Nadine Wedeking and sister-in-law, Sue (Tim) Wedeking; and great-grandchild, Carter Allan.
Services will be Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 11am to 2pm at Heather Gardens Club House, 2888 S Heather Gardens Way Aurora CO 80014.
