1936 - 2017

John was born February 4, 1936 in Fort Collins, Colorado, to Joe M. and Aurelia (Gurule) Castellanos.
John went home to be with the Lord on June 17, 2017 after a 2 1/2 year battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Bennie (Maria Benita Espinoza) whom he married March 31, 1956 in Fort Collins, CO. They celebrated 61 years of married life together. They had three children, Virginia (Bernie) Trujillo, Sandie (Cliff) Ceimet and John Benjamin Castellanos.

John is preceded in death by his son, John (Jack) Benjamin Castellanos; Brother Joe Castellanos, Jr. and Sister, Mary Vigil as well as his parents.

He is survived by his Sister, Helen Rodriguez and his Sister-in-law, Nora Castellanos.

John has seven Grandchildren; Corrine, Stephen (Kathryn), Eric (Shannon) Trujillo, John and James Ceimet, Krista (Brian) Castellanos-Dobbins and Matthew (Victoria) Castellanos. He also has seven Great-Grandchildren with another one on the way.

John's passion for cars pushed him towards a career as a Mechanic/Inspector Trainer in the Transportation Department at Public Service Company of Colorado. He retired in 1994 after thirty plus years of service.

John loved his 1975 Corvette, listening to music, traveling and most importantly, his family.
