Eleanor Frances Williams Steffen was born October 18, 1933 in Omaha Nebraska to Mae Carney Williams and Guy Harrison Williams. The youngest of four children, Elly’s siblings were Guy Jr., Harriet, and Barbara.

Elly earned her Master’s Degree from Washington University in St. Louis., then once back in Omaha Elly met, fell in love with and married John Wesley Steffen. Together they had two children, John Jr. and Joanna.

Elly made her career as a Physical Therapist spending her life helping others. Elly loved people, her children and her cats, and enjoyed gambling on occasion. She loved Colorado and its mountains and spent most of her life here in the Columbine State.

The Lord called her home to be with him on January 6, 2018. She is survived by her children, John Wesley Steffen Jr. and Joanna Lee Steffen, Granddaughter Amy VonBehren and Nieces Barbra Dawson, Sally Hunley and Jane Coleman.
