In Memory Of
Rene E. Andel
1959 - 2018

Rene E. Andel, 58, passed in peace February 4, 2018. He was born November 28, 1959 in Denver, Colorado. He has lived in Denver all of his life. Rene graduated from Central Catholic High School and then went on to college.

Rene worked at Skaggs Drugstore for several years. After that, he took pride in working as a Manager for Andel's Pro Ski Shop until it closed. He also spent many hours there as a kid. He then worked as a personal assistant to Norman LaMay and his wife Grace, both now deceased. He was like a son to them.

Rene was remarkable in so many ways. He touched many peoples lives with his compassion and unconditional love. He put others needs before his own.

Rene was a man of many talents. He loved cooking, photography, geology, lapidary work, drawing, oil and watercolor painting. He was an artist like his father and created many beautiful pieces of his own. Rene also embraced his Czechoslovakian heritage.

We all knew Rene as a very private and loving man. Whose faith guided his actions, words and deeds. He was a true Christian. Rene and his mother LaRose regularly attended Mother of God Catholic Church in Denver.

His devotion to his mother, family and friends is the anchor that defined and shaped his life. Rene Andel will forever be loved and missed. His footprint on our hearts and not forgotten. Rene you are now a star in Heaven.

Rene is survived by his mother LaRose Andel, preceded in death by his father, also Rene Andel. Also survived by his cousin Jeri Adam and nephew Christian Lyons.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
