She was born to James and Ethel Terrell, March 10, 1924, on their farm in Oklahoma. Marie graduated from Hugo High School, in Hugo, Oklahoma in 1942.
After high school Marie moved to Dallas where she met Hank Oliver. They were married on December 27, 1949. They lived in Baxter Springs, Kansas and moved to Denver, Colorado in the 1950's. Marie worked as an accountant at Hanskins & Sells in Denver, and then as an independent accountant for almost 40 years. Marie retired from work at the age of 79.
Marie is survived by her daughter Terri Priday, and her step-children Dick Oliver and Kathy Sorrell. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hank, her sisters Helen Allen and Hazel Axtel, and her step-son Bob Oliver.
A viewing and memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home in Lakewood on Tuesday, March 20, 2018. The viewing will begin at 12:30 p.m., the memorial service will follow immediately after at 1:30 p.m., and burial will be at Crown Hill at 3:00 p.m.
