Carla Mae Garcia, 75, of Arvada died Tuesday, January 15th. She was born to the late Joe and Lucy Romero, January 12th, 1944 in Denver, Colorado. Carla was a stay at home Mother for many years, caring for three Sons and seven Grandchildren. Carla was a faithful servant of God who was a born-again Christian and enjoyed listening to Christian music in her spare time. Carla also cared for foster children for a number of years. Carla is survived by her husband of 56 years Wayne Garcia, her three sons: Paul, Joey and Jeremy Garcia of Colorado, and seven grandchildren: Kirsten, Joshua, Kaytlin, Cruz, Camille, Isaiah, and Elijah. Carla is also survived by her siblings: Toby Romero, Nancy Garcia, Rita Romero and Dorothy Padron. She is proceeded in death by her parents Joe and Lucy Romero, brothers Nash and Phil Romero, Tony Zamora and sisters Marie Romero and Florence Bustamante. A viewing will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home from 12 PM to 1 PM, followed by the Memorial Service from 1 PM to 2 PM. Visitors will then be police escorted from Newcomer Funeral Home to the Graveside Service which will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
