In Memory Of
Ilene Delores Allison
1926 - 2019
Ilene was born at home in Matheson, CO to Ruby and Ted Hamacher on December 11, 1926. She was raised outside of Matheson. She attended Glazer School until the 8th grade. Ilene accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at the early age of 12.
Ilene married Bill Allison on June 11, 1944 after two years of courtship. To this union was born Melvin, Donna, Judy, Patsy, Barbara, and Billy Ray (who lived only 5 days). In 1947 Ilene and Bill moved from Matheson to Deer Trail and built the Deer Trail Locker Plant. Ilene ran the Locker plant while Bill carpentered. In 1984, Bill and Ilene retired and sold the Locker Plant.
Ilene enjoyed the outdoor life with Bill; hunting and fishing. They took trips to Chicago, Florida, California, and Hawaii.
Ilene touched many lives through the many years she taught Sunday school and Bible school at the Matheson Church, Friends Church, First Baptist Church, and Grace Baptist Church. She was also treasurer at Grace Baptist Church. She took part in the Hands of Love Convention in Agate on the I-70 corridor.
Ilene loved the Lord and loved sharing God’s amazing grace and endless love. She was a gracious host offering food to everyone who entered her home. Ilene put stranded families up for the night in her home.
Ilene is survived by her son, Melvin Allison and wife Jackie of Deer Trail; daughters, Donna Butler of Denver, Judy Garnhart and husband Bob of Greeley, Patsy Jury and husband Richard of Strasburg, and Barbara Stanko and husband Eddie of Matheson; sisters, Betty Hall of Canon City, Dolly Atkins and husband Miriam of Crowely, and Darlene Holliman and husband Don of St. Francis, Kansas; brother, Darrel Hamacher and wife Sara of Agate; nine grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
