1970 - 2019

David Lee Pokorny, 48 years old of Broomfield, Colorado. Celebration of Life will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Metro Chapel, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado at 11:00 am, Saturday, July 13, 2019. After the service the family invites you to join them at Northmoor Park off of 13th Avenue and Birch Street in Broomfield, Colorado 80020. Refreshments will be served.

On January 18, 2019 David took the hand of Jesus and walked into Heaven. David is survived by his two children Shyanne Pokorny of Grand Junction and Dylan Pokorny of Broomfield and grandchildren Braxton and Georgia. He is also survived by parents, Tom and Bobbie Goldammer of Broomfield, brothers Ray (Christy) Pokorny of Arvada and Thomas Goldammer of Longmont, sisters Tami (Bobby) Combs of Denton, Texas, Michelle Goldammer of Brighton, Colorado and Samantha (Aron) Braithwaite of Allen, Texas, five nieces, five nephews, and numerous Aunts, Uncles Cousins and friends including Brett Lockhart and Erin Sanders.

David's joy in life were his grandchildren. David loved kids and he always said that the kids were more interesting than the adults. David was in his happy place when he was watching his son Dylan play football and his daughter Shyanne play softball. He also loved watching the Nebraska Huskers football games and his NFL team was the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed watching his favorite TV show "Judge Judy".

They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
