Robert Chris Schaefer age 53 passed away at the Medical Center of Aurora on Wednesday June 12, 2019.

He was born on August 1, 1965 on the Santa Domingo Pueblo Reservation in Albuquerque, NM then adopted by Rae Wright and RJ Schaefer at the age of 3 and raised in Albuquerque, NM with his Sisters Joyce, Tish and Jessica and Brothers Jerome, Matt and Mike. Chris also was blessed to have reunited with several birth Brothers and Sisters in his adult life. Chris joined the Army and served for 6 years. He married Heather Schaefer on September 13, 1997. Chris and Heather have resided in Aurora, CO for the last 17 years, where they have been raising their 2 daughters, Savannah and Skylar.

Chris was survived by his wife, his daughters, Mother Rae, Mother-In-Law Jebe, many Brothers and Sisters, numerous Nieces, Nephews and Friends.

Chris was always willing to help anyone in need, often anticipating needs before they were even known. He was very passionate about giving to others. He always went above and beyond for those who needed it most.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Chris Schaefer Memorial Fund with further information about the Foundation being established to follow. Donations can be made at the following:

A viewing will be held on Friday June 21st from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home East and a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday June 22nd from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at PPA Event Center.
