In Memory Of
Laverne T. Metz
1927 - 2019

LaVerne was born LaVerne Hannasch. She was born in 1927 to Anne and Bernard in Roberts County South Dakota. She had 11 loving brothers and sisters. She was married to Raymond Metz then later, in the early 50’s, moved to Colorado on their own. She was the mother of five wonderful children; Pat, Marcy (Jesse), Mike (Judy), Jeff, and Gene (Irene). She was a mother, a grandmother, a great grandmother, and a great great grandmother. If you knew LaVerne, you knew she lived her life for Christ. She was involved in many projects and organizations in the Church from committees to being the “green thumbed” lady caring for the garden that once stood at her beloved Our Lady of Lourdes Parish. She was a devout Catholic who always showed her love of Christ and her fellow man in her everyday life. She always had a smile on her face and a prayer in her heart. She truly made the world a better brighter place in her own small way. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Ray, her loving sons, Pat and Mike and her darling granddaughter Ashlee. She will be dearly missed by her friends and her loving family.
Her funeral mass will be at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Denver on June 21st at 10am with a Rosary beforehand at 930 am. Please Join us in prayer for LaVerne & all the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
