Cynthia "Cindy" Woodruff
1939 - 2019

Cynthia Allene Woodruff (Mitchell) passed away on June 18, 2019 in her home with her family. She was born on January 7, 1939 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Frank and Lillie Mitchell.

She graduated from Guthrie High School in 1957 and moved to Denver in 1958 to live with her sister, Velma. She met Gerald ‘Jerry’ Woodruff at that time and they were married on December 25, 1959, after which Jerry left for Boot Camp at Ft. Bliss, Texas. After his military service, Jerry and Cynthia moved back to Denver and started their family.

She was a stay at home mom for many years and then worked for various insurance companies in Denver. She loved time with her family and friends, road trips, and reading. She volunteered with the Adams County Library for a number of years as well.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Edna Groom and brother James Frank Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband Jerry, her sister Velma Collings of Indiana, children Cathy Billings and her husband David, Joel Woodruff and Cheryl Pareja and her husband Noli all from the Denver area; her grandchildren Sara Buckner and her husband Kevin from Firestone, Jeff Billings and his wife Nikki, from California and Jake Pareja, and one great-grandson, Logan Billings, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests that donations be made to Adobe Hospice or other local Hospice group in lieu of flowers. The care and service by Adobe Hospice for Cynthia is greatly appreciated by the family and we thank them for their love and prayers.
