In Memory Of
Karen Brynn Christopherson
1953 - 2019

Karen Brynn Christopherson 65, died Tuesday June 18th 2019. She was born on December 29th, 1953 in Denver to the late Joanne Lewis (Landholm) and Leland Landholm. Karen graduated from Lakewood High School in 1972, and also completed 3 years at the University of Denver studying accounting and general business. She married Robert (Bob) Christopherson on August 21st, 1976 and they lived in and around the Denver area.

Karen is survived by her husband Bob (Robert) Christopherson, 2 children; Jeff (Ana) Christopherson, and Shannon (Jeff) Marotz. 4 grandchildren; Robert, Nikolas, Leila Christopherson, and Kayden Marotz. As well as many other close family members.

Karen was very proud of her children, Jeff joining the Navy and Shannon in the medical field. She was particularly fond of the couple trips the family got to take to Hawaii. She also loved going to the cabin in Ward, CO where she spent many of her days as a young lady. She also enjoyed a ride on the back of the Harley with Bob. She would attend as many events of her grandchildren as she could. They would always bring a smile to her face.

Unfortunately, Karen was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) in late 2000, and ultimately became disabled. She was a strong supporter and participant with the MS Society and did the Walk MS. She sold bracelets and did other fundraising events to raise awareness to her disease. She also enjoyed party/event planning at the care center she resided at, as well as bingo and their lunch outings to various restaurants. She loved to bring back at least one chocolate dessert.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to the MS Society in her honor.

A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday June 30th from 1-4pm at the Heine residence; 6230 Balsam St. Arvada CO 80004
